Los Angeles International Ballet Intensive provides new opportunities, growth and development for students passionate about dance, who are willing to have new creative experiences, who value discipline and are eager to work with our faculty of internationally renowned guest Instructors. Located in the foothills of Los Angeles Mountains, near to Hollywood, theme parks, beaches etc... Great location to visit! Accommodations available.

Offering: Curriculum is based in Classical & Contemporary Ballet with specific instruction (at appropriate level) in Turns, Jumps, Pre Pointe, Pointe, Pas de duex and supplementary training in MPT. Also offering Modern Dance and Dance Essentials for picking up choreography faster, improvisation, musicality and performance skills. Included in this program is a choreography workshop for dancers who wish to create their own and dance the choreography of fellow students. New! An Aerial Ballet Workshop! Learn to fly and dance in the air, using silk scarves! Participating students will be exposed to a repertoire of classic and original choreography by Director of California DanceArts and California Contemporary Ballet, Erin Holt, and other guest choreographers to be performed each two weeks.

Audition class held at California DanceArts (Sample Only)
12:00 Noon on the following Saturdays:
Febuary 14, 2009
March 21, 2009 (As space in the program remains available only. This audition date may be cancled).

Ladies please wear proper ballet attire, hair up off face, technique slippers.
Bring Pointe shoes (as appropriate). Men please wear white shirt, dance pants
or tights, ballet slippers.
$20 Cash audition fee

Only limited selection to the program on first come basis.
Accommodations for out of town students must be reserved as soon as possible so we encourage early submissions.

Please submit dance photo or DVD with short list of skills and training.
DVD / Video: 10 minutes (maximum) showing work at barre and center.
Entire video should be performed en Pointe (as appropriate).

Saturday Spotlight Master Classes These special master classes are included
for those dancers participating in the intensive program. The classes are open
to all intermediate and advanced level ballet dancers with additional $30
charge. These master classes are conducted by a new guest teacher each week

Los Angeles Weekend Excursions: Join Sunday group excursions to popular Los Angeles and Hollywood sightseeing locations. Each Sunday, we will arrange a new excursion, based on the interest of students attending the program. Out of town guests might enjoy trips to popular theme parks such as Disneyland, Magic Mountain or Universal Studios. Venture into the city and walk down famous Hollywood Blvd, catch a show at one of our grand theaters, go body surfing or enjoy a relaxing sunbath on our beautiful beaches. Our excursions may be arranged with guide and transportation. Older adult students may venture out on their own with rented or city transportation. We will provide site maps and information regarding locations, city transportation and tourist fees. (Fees to various theme parks, theaters, shopping or city transportation are not included with program).

Together with our affiliates, we provide the best summer European dance experiences.
